Jeff Eriksen adds Instrument Instructor Credentials to his Flight Instructor Certificate

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bellingham, WA- January 9, 2012- Bellingham Aviation Services announces that Jeff Eriksen, Chief Flight Instructor, has successfully completed the written, oral and practical examinations to add Instrument Instructor (CFII) credentials to enhance his Flight Instructor certifications.

Instrument rating refers to the necessary qualifications a pilot must have to fly under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). Training includes additional instruction pertaining to rules and procedures specifically for instrument flying, further instruction in meteorology and more intensive instrument flight training. This CFII rating allows a flight instructor to provide ground school and flight instruction to pilots seeking an instrument rating.

He will now be able to share his nearly 4000 hours of flying experience with students wishing to pursue an Instrument Rating.

“We are very proud of Jeff’s accomplishments” said Vanessa Nielsen, President of BAS. “Jeff’s continued growth and drive toward professional distinction match the high standards that we embody as a company. By investing in our flight training infrastructure, BAS is poised to be a go-to provider of training solutions to help meet the demands of the looming pilot shortage.”
